  1. I saw a video of the audio for this, yet I didn’t know who was saying it.
This is disgusting and I hope to God that she is opposed and defeated! Does anyone know when OK holds their elections? I want to send her opponent a contribution.

I can’t believe this is 2008 and there is so much bigotry still. It’s sad…

  2. Well, good luck, ProudVADem. That whole state managed to elect Sen. Tom Coburn (R-natch), who warned of “rampant lesbianism” in local junior highs. I’ve a hard time thinking of anyone more unfit for office than him, and a good majority of the state voted him in, anyway.

  3. She might be opposed, but she won’t be defeated. If anything, she’ll paint it as a gay conspiracy by Al Gayda to overthrow the government of Oklahoma when her opponent invariably receives some funding from a pro-gay rights group, and it will work.

If there’s a way to beat her, it’s not a knee-jerk reaction from the left that can do her in, it’s the fact that she clearly does not take terrorism seriously-enough as a threat if she thinks America is more endangered by two dudes kissing. Why don’t you think September 11th was the most serious and heinous attack on our American way of life in the 21st Century, Rep. Kern?

  4. It amazes me that when someone speaks the truth about God’s words concerning homoxsexual behavior, they are attacked as gay bashers and homophobic and the like. Read the bible and and experience the word of God for yourself.

  5. Truth? What’s true about the so-called “gay agenda” wanting to “indoctrinate.. 2 year olds”?

You know, it’s one thing to speak of “God’s words” but the bible I read says nothing about a “gay agenda.. taking over this country.” How can you defend the ignorance of this woman?

  6. Speaks the truth??!?!?!?!?!
Wow, virginiavoter….maybe you should pick up a bible yourself. Read the “Red” letters and listen to Christ’s message. Love, compassion…that’s what is in my bible. “Hate” is not…and to treat people that way is the most un-Christian thing I can think of!

  7. First, I never spoke about the “Gay Agenda” or hated and the like. I was speaking to the fact that the bible is explicit in its statements concerning homosexual behavior. This issue is addressed in the old and new testaments.

    Leviticus 20-13
13 ” ‘If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. …

    Romans 1 24-26
24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.

Also, remember that Jesus may have preached peace and love, but he reacted to sin with anger, when necessary.

    John 2 13-16
13 When it was almost time for the Jewish Passover, Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 14In the temple courts he found men selling cattle, sheep and doves, and others sitting at tables exchanging money. 15 So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple area, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables. 16 To those who sold doves he said, “Get these out of here! How dare you turn my Father’s house into a market!”

  8. Of course, let’s bring up Levititicus 20-13…but let’s also talk about the fact that if we totally followed Leviticus to the word….we wouldnt have any fabric blends, we’d never eat shellfish, and I’d have to leave my house once a month…

I have NEVER known one Gay person to EVER try to indoctrinate anyone…that is a myth. Period.

Anonymous 8:57 AM brought up an excellent point. Why does she think that gay people living in society is worse than 9/11?!?! The gay people I know are hard working, tax paying, Americans who deserve respect.

And if we want to follow scripture…tell me about divorce…..why have so many evangelicals been divorced multiple times? (Newt Gingrich, anyone?) Isn’t that a sin? Shouldn’t we go after divorcees with the same venom as gay people ?
Isn’t poverty a sin? Why is taking care of the poor mentioned over 2,000 times in the bible, yet whackjobs such as Sally Kern focus her attention on what is mentioned a handful of times???

The bottom line is: there is NO excuse for this kind of ignorance. Period.

  9. We do not follow Leviticus to the word, as you say, because Jesus’ sacrifice supersedes the ritual cleansing and other methods for atoning for sins. Christians also believe that He declared all foods clean. The list of sins did not change.

You’re right on the money on the divorce thing, though.

  10. virginiavoter – you must not have watched the video. Because if you had, you would have never said:

It amazes me that when someone speaks the truth about God’s words concerning homoxsexual behavior, they are attacked as gay bashers and homophobic and the like.

Except in passing, the speaker didn’t reference the bible. What she said – repeatedly – was what I posted originally about the “gay agenda” and “indoctrinating 2 year olds.”

Now, regardless of what your religious beliefs may be, surely you are not endorsing those kinds of statements.

  11. Actually the speaker did reference God’s word, and God’s words are in the bible.

If there is no gay agenda, then explain to me why all of these groups, like Code Pink, GLBT, GLAD, and the like exist? Organizations do not form just for the sake of existing. They have a reason and purpose for existing, hence an agenda.

  12. Just because you’re amusing, VirginiaVoter: Code Pink is an anti-war group, and has nothing to do with the International Gay Conspiracy; GLBT is an acronym – I don’t think acronyms are capable of having agendas; and GLAD came into being because folks needed help defending themselves from hateful folks like Sally Kern.

    But thanks for playing.
