Doris Hildreth, a longtime member of the Norfolk City Democratic Committee, passed away earlier this week. Doris was a retired labor relations specialist and unions remained her passion.
It is appropriate that her obituary mentions her being a member of the Young at Heart Club, because that, along with her insistence on the union bug on materials, was the one thing I remember most about her. She will certainly be missed.
My thoughts and prayers to her family. May she rest in peace.
