CONFIRMED: Obama to hold town halls in Chester and Chesapeake

RICHMOND, Va. –U.S. Sen. Barack Obama will hold town hall meetings in Chester and Chesapeake on Thursday with local voters. In Chester, Obama will be joined by Gov. Timothy M. Kaine.

Obama will discuss his plan for a $1,000 tax cut benefitting 95 percent of Virginians, creating 5 million green jobs by investing $150 billion over 10 years in renewable energy and making college more affordable with a $4,000 tuition tax credit.

On Wednesday, Obama will hold town hall meetings in Martinsville and Lynchburg to discuss his plan to provide real relief for working families across the commonwealth.
