Denver: Monday night live blogging

8:46pm ET: Right now, on stahe is Jesse Jackson Jr. The Virgina delegation is seated on the floor, in the center, right behind the Illinois delegation. Funny thing: one of the teleprompters is right behind our seats.

8:52pm: Not sure what you guys are seeing on TV but if you hear music in the background, it’s not being piped in. The band is playing live.

  1. I think it’s nice to be able to talk about solutions as much as how much we don’t like John McCain, is why I thought Warner’s speech was good. We had two great headliners last night with contrasting styles: a steady, post-partisan, solutions-oriented Mark Warner, and an energetic, enthusiastically-partisan Hillary Clinton. We need both types of leaders to be a successful political party (or we do as long as we think that being successful means more than just winning elections). And it was reassuring to me as a Democrat to see the depth and diversity of our leadership exemplified so well.

I can’t wait to watch those two leaders work together in the United States Senate next year.

  2. From your twitter: “…Doug Wilder is here. He’s staying mum on an endorsement in the race.”

Sorry my Twitter wasn’t clear on this. I meant the Mayor’s race in Richmond.

Been away from the computer a couple of days.
