Virginia Beach is one of two Hampton Roads cities to move their municipal elections to November. This Sunday’s On the Record will feature the candidates in two of the three contested council races: Kempsville incumbent Harry Diezel and challengers Andrew Jackson and Joe Flores as well as Rose Hall incumbent Reba McClanan and challenger Glenn Davis.
Catch OTR at noon on WVEC. If you miss the airing, it will be available on the website on Monday.
Poquoson (another Hampton Roads city) also holds its municipal elections in November.
Sorry, David. I wasn’t aware that Poquoson had changed its elections to November. We don’t get much Peninsula news on this side of the water.
I see the mayor is running unopposed and that each of the three council seats up for election are contested. Are any of these races competitive? Perhaps you can brings us all up to speed. Thanks!
