As I write this, 38% of the votes for President in Virginia have been counted and John McCain is leading Barack Obama 53% to 46%. But there are large chunks of important areas still out – including most of the 3rd.
In the House races:
- 2nd – with almost 24% of the vote counted, Nye leads Drake 52% to 48% (Obama is currently winning this district)
- 5th – with 63% of the vote counted, Goode leads Perriello 52% to 48% (Obama is losing this district)
- 11th – with 15% in, Connolly leads Fimian 56% to 47% (Obama is winning this district)
Unfortunately, none of the other House races are close. The Pilot called the 4th CD race for Randy Forbes a while ago.
