According to Rasmussen Reports, Del. Brian Moran is the only Democrat among the three candidates who leads Republican candidate AG Bob McDonnell.
Rep. Brian J. Moran of Alexandria is the only one of three leading Democratic hopefuls who beats Republican Attorney General Robert F. McDonnell in a straight match-up, 41% to 37%, according to a new Rasmussen Reports survey of Virginia voters. Five percent (5%) favor some other unspecified candidate, and 16% are undecided.
The survey has Sen. Creigh Deeds tied with McDonnell, while undeclared candidate Terry McAuliffe trails by 5 points.
The telephone survey of 500 likely voters took place December 4 and has a margin of error of +/-4.5%. That puts the race in a virtual tie amongst all of the contenders.
