Spruill endorses Bowerbank for LG

Del. Lionell Spruill has endorsed Jon Bowerbank for LG. The press release is below the fold.

Cedar Bluff – Today, Delegate Lionell Spruill (D-77) endorsed Jon Bowerbank for Lieutenant Governor.

“Jon Bowerbank is my choice for Lieutenant Governor,” said Spruill. “Jon’s experience as a business owner and public servant uniquely qualify him to tackle the challenges we face in Virginia. Jon has worked hard to get to know the needs and concerns of my constituents and will be a powerful voice for all Virginians as our Lt. Gov. I know he is the best Democrat to take on Bill Bolling.”

Delegate Spruill has been serving the people of the 77th district since 1994, he is a respected leader in the Democratic caucus.

“I have the utmost respect for the service Delegate Spruill has given to the people of the Commonwealth,” said Bowerbank.  “I am humbled to have his support and look forward to working with him throughout the campaign and in Richmond.”

Delegate Spruill’s endorsement is the latest that Bowerbank has earned from leaders in Democratic Party in Virginia, including former Democratic candidates for Lieutenant Governor, Chap Peterson, Phil Puckett and Leslie Byrne. Both Puckett and Peterson currently serve in the Senate of Virginia.

  1. “Developing” a reputation…He’s past that point and then some.
Spruill needs to decide whether he wants to be a gun for hire or a delegate.
Doing both will lead to a major conflict of interest.
So- in “Spruill-world” you only help Democrats who PAY you.
    Real nice.
    Glad he isn’t my delegate.
If he wants to be a consultant….he should go for it…
but this altruistic “I care about Democrats” is pure BS.
