Although the filing deadline is not until Thursday, the campaigns are beginning to release their fundraising numbers.
Jon Bowerbank, candidate for LG, reports that he will have raised “more than $600,000 since entering the race.”
Of the $600,000, $377,000 was received during this reporting period, and the campaign will report $181,000 cash on hand.
Steve Shannon, candidate for AG, reports that he has raised “has raised over $820,000 to date, with over $746,416 cash on hand.”
The Shannon Campaign now has $150,000 more cash on hand than current Attorney General Bob McDonnell had at this point in the 2005 campaign and has a far greater cash on hand advantage over the totals posted by any other Attorney General nominee this decade.
And, as I mentioned earlier, Jody Wagner, candidate for LG, has “raised nearly $400,000 over the last five months of 2008.”
Her campaign will also show that it has more than $285,000 cash on-hand.
No word yet on the gubernatorial candidates. Guess we’ll need to wait until Thursday 😉
How long does it take the SBE to post the information on their website? I was curious about a couple House of Delegates races…
I don’t think they will be up til after 5pm tomorrow. They aren’t due to be filed until then.
They may have been filed earlier, but the SBE won’t release the numbers until the filing deadline. Any early reports have to come from the candidates themselves.
Alright, thanks. I figured some of the reports had already been filed and was wondering why they weren’t showing up on the SBE website.
