Rasmussen: Moran remains tied with McDonnell

Deeds, McAuliffe, MoranRasmussen Reports has a new poll out of Virginia gubernatorial candidates.  It shows Bob McDonnell leading Brian Moran by three points, which is within the poll’s margin of error of +/-4.5 points, making the race between the two a virtual tie.

McDonnell leads Terry McAuliffe by 7 and Creigh Deeds by 9.

In December, Moran led McDonnell by 4 points, while McAuliffe trailed by 5 and Deeds was tied. That poll’s MOE was 4%.

Here’s a little video of Moran at the Arlington Dems yesterday.

In this poll, respondents were questioned about the doubling of the cigarette tax. 62% agreed that the tax should be doubled. Perhaps the Senate Finance committee should have waited on this poll before deciding against it.

  1. Temporary!

As soon as McDonnell’s horrid record, as Virginia AG gets out to the grassroots, he is toast! He not only went out of his way to annoy the left, he managed to alienate the right. Possibly more so than the left. His admitted “negotiation” of the illegal, unconstitutional regional taxing authorities have destroyed his credibility with the moderate to right republicans, and his lack of action on the price gouging in 2008 have everyone from moderate right to way left, super PO’d!

McDonnell will only appeal to the Party Sheeple, who do what they are told and babble the party line, no matter how bad the candidate!

  2. So, when Moran leads McDonnell within the margin of error, that’s Moran leading.

But when McDonnell leads Moran within the margin of error, that’s a tie.

Gotcha! I’ve always respected your lack of partisanship. (cough)
