Republican polling

No idea how I ended up on the list but I’ve been polled by Republicans a couple of times in the last few days. First, it was former presidential candidate Mike Huckabee, representing American United for Life Action. Then last night, it was Chuck Smith, who is running for Congress in 2010.

In both cases, these recorded polls were less about getting my opinion than getting out a message. The message part was longer than the “yes” or “no” poll questions! Bet I screwed up their poll numbers ๐Ÿ˜‰

Methinks they wasted their money trying to message a pro-choice Democrat.

  1. We can only hope that “Chuck” has as much luck running for office, as he did running the Virginia Beach Republican Party into the dirt! How many how seats did they lose? 2? 3?

The alleged team he put together was a disaster for Republicans. Their support and backing of disasterous HB3202 pretty much sank any hopes of Victory for republicans in Virginia Beach for many years to come.

Can’t wait to see what other annoying (phone calls at supper time) (yes they called and annoyed me too) thing they dream up for the 2010 elections.

For some reason, it just hasn’t sunk in that they have alienated the grassroots in Hampton Roads to the point of strong, hateful feelings for republicans! How else could Jim Miller have won on the Peninsula against a 12 year incumbent Williams?

They (republicans) are flailing their arms in hysteria, in hopes of getting anyone, someone, to vote for them. Now, we Democrats need to deliver the goods and keep the republicans where they belong, on the sidelines, throwing their nasty insults and barbs.

  2. Not exactly the kinda candidate Steele was talking about or looking for under his watch….my bet goes that he is not the one facing Nye.
