Former NSU coach and athletic director William “Dick” Price died yesterday. I knew it was coming but it is still a tremendous loss. Price, for whom the stadium at NSU is named, was the winningest football coach at the school. But he was much more than that.
He had a keen intellect and a wonderful sense of humor. I always enjoyed chatting with him about nearly anything. Since losing his beloved wife, Dot, a few years ago, though, he was a changed man.
Rest in peace, dear friend.
“I shall always remember his calm demeanor. He was agreat man. He is truly missed!”
