I attended the Virginia premiere of HBO’s The Black List Vol. 2 last night in Norfolk. The event was done in conjunction with Cox Communications and The Urban League.
The documentary was compelling and had the Chrysler Hall audience alternatively clapping, laughing and somber. What was most intriguing was the Q and A session afterwards with the film’s makers, Elvis Mitchell and Timothy Greenfield-Sanders. The “questions” often took the form of statements, as people spoke about the film’s effect on them.
I’m not going to give it away – you’ll just have to watch it yourself Thursday, February 26 at 8pm. Trust me – it is worth every minute of your time.
