I live right outside of the district that Steve represents in the House of Delegates and I’ve therefore had the opportunity to hear him speech in public forums and in off the record conversations I’ve had with him at various events over the last few years. I’m glad to see that his stump speech doesn’t drastically change depending on the area that he’s speaking in. In Hampton Roads he’s still promoting the same commonsense ideas that he promotes when he’s speaking in Fairfax.
I think this says something about Steve’s character and his passion for the causes he promotes. All too often we have candidates who tell voters what he/she thinks they want to hear and will change their message depending on who they’re speaking too. You don’t get that with Steve, you get a straight forward candidate who’s about leading the entire Commonwealth in the right direction.
