It seems everyone jumped on AIG Thursday. First, there was an email from Brian Moran. In it, he asks that we “stand up to greed.”
Say NO to using our taxpayer dollars to reward these executives.
Moments later (literally – the emails were 6 minutes apart), I got an email from Creigh Deeds. He wants us to “demand our money back from AIG.”
After another hour, Terry McAuliffe weighed in. (And check out this post on McAuliffe’s email.)
Senator Mark Warner’s email came about three hours later. His contained his blog posting as well as the video below.
Are we all in agreement? AIG bad.
Are our Congresscritters and President going to give back their donations from AIG?
It was the chief of these, Chris Dodd, who put language authorizing these bonuses into the stimulus package, and O was right there with him, taking AIG contributions and signing that bill.
Ha. Was planning on just this post yesterday. The Deeds one made me smile, and then the McAuliffe one just made me laugh.
