American Idol results 03/26/09: Michael booted

I think it’s time for AI to cut back the results show to half an hour. Seriously – did anyone enjoy the fill provided by Ruben and the duet with Smokey Robinson and whats-her-name? Now admittedly, it was a blast to hear Stevie Wonder but what was that last song in the medley? Never heard it before. Anyway – let me once again thank the makers of TiVo for allowing me to watch it my way 😉

The bottom three Thursday night were Michael, Scott and Matt. I got two of three right. The VFW folks kept my third pick – Megan Joy – in the running.  Without her, I figured Scott was going to be odd man out. Interestingly enough, he wasn’t in the bottom two. I guess he’s got some fans out there.

Michael ended up being the lowest vote getter. After signing one more time, the judges decided not to use their save. I thought he did a decent job last night but maybe roughnecks don’t watch AI 😉 Since he made it to the Top 10, though, he will be a part of the Idol tour. It will be interesting to see if, outside of that, we ever hear from him again.
