American Idol opened Wednesday night with comments from the judges. Interestingly enough, Simon chose the same bottom three as I did š Now that’s scary.
Host Ryan Seacrest divided the nine into three groups of three. The first group chosen had two of my (and Simon’s) bottom three in it: Megan Joy, Matt and, surprising to me, Kris. Could this be the bottom three?
As it turned out, no. From that group, only Megan was in the bottom three. The second group consisted of Adam, Lil, and Allison. Of those, Allison was in the bottom three. Danny, Scott and Anoop were in the third group. The third member of the bottom three was Anoop. Once again, I got two of three.
Despite the efforts of VFW, Megan Joy was received the lowest number of votes. Even before she sang for the last time, Simon said the judges would not exercise their save. She seemed to be ready for it.
Even though she wasn’t really Idol material, I enjoyed Megan and she might have a future. At the least, she’ll be on the tour.
I was pretty sure Megan would be the one to go.
Abdul’s comments about the blind fellow were in bad taste, IMO.
Agreed. Abdul can say the dumbest things sometimes.
Um, not sorry to see her go. That girl’s voice was more Minnesotan than hot dish and ice fishing. Dontchyaknow.
I have a feeling we’re getting close to when the judge’s might actually use their save. I think Anoop and Scott aren’t really worth the save, but based on overall performances I think any of the others would be worth considering.
That young girl in the outrageous Raggedy Ann outfit actually has a very good voice. And I think she’s thoroughly enjoying herself. Believe she’s only 16.
