Or that is the impression one could get by looking at what’s been going on recently.
Incumbent delegate Algie Howell is having a campaign kickoff this Sunday. The event is being hosted by Randy Wright and the special guest is gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe.
Howell faces a challenge for the nomination from Lionell Spruill, Jr., who was the subject of what can only be called a hit piece recently in The Virginian-Pilot.
Then we have none other than Governor Tim Kaine coming in a couple of weeks (May 6) for a reception.
Rumor has it that Junior is getting some significant support from Howell foes in Norfolk, although with $4.74 on hand, that support hasn’t translated into dollars.
Which is what makes this all the more curious. What is Howell, who reported $41,325.35 on hand, afraid of?
Thanks for the update. Who is this Anthony Triplin guy who has raised 56k to run against Del. Kenny Alexander?
I’ll have more on that later. He’s a young guy, running as an independent.
He is a guy who doesn’t have much sense. He is a college student who is giving bad reps to VA training courses. He tried running for mayor when he was 16!!!
He needs some more education if you ask me!
Whoever wins will have to face Republican Jason Call who is already out meeting with voters
And who has about $3800 on hand – not much money to wage a campaign with.
It’s still more than $4.74!
