RT gets McDonnell on jobs

The Roanoke Times has an interesting editorial on Republican gubernatorial candidate Bob McDonnell. The subtitle says it all:

Check the record. Bob McDonnell voted to strip a job fund he now calls vital.

Go on over and read the whole thing.

McDonnell really should explain himself.

Yep. And we hope he will.

  1. McDonnell said, “I’m for limited government”, yet he helped negotiate the regional taxing authorities, then defended them in court. And before you boo-birds come out and say “that’s his job”, he easily could have handed it over to a subordinate, but didn’t. McDonnell not only is for BIG GOVERNMENT but for super high taxes, levied by unelected officials! Not a position the republithugs cherish!

McDonnell, much like many of his compadre’s in the House, will say anything to get elected, and pray that no one checks their record against what they are saying. The petty sniping at Deeds kids, isn’t going to win this one for the GOP!

  2. Voters, especially jobless voters, will recall Republicans voted against accepting stimulus money that would have extended their unemployment benefits.

Accepting money from whom? The federal government has no money to give out.
