VLBC to honor Bruce Smith Saturday

The Virginia Legislative Black Caucus is holding an event this coming Saturday to honor former NFL player Bruce Smith, who was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame a couple of weeks ago. (Click on image to enlarge.)

The event will be held at First Baptist Church of Lambert’s Point at 5pm.

Smith, a Norfolk native, gave one heck of an induction speech. He took to the event a busload of students from his alma mater, Booker T. Washington High School. He recognized them in the speech, as well as all of the people who helped him along the way.
