ICYMI

Quick roundup:

Bob McDonnell says a bad word. Yeah, he screwed up. I’m more concerned about his policies than his mouth.

Obama says a bad word. Not nearly as bad as the McDonnell one but something one generally doesn’t hear in polite society.

McDonnell gets NRA endorsement while Deeds gets firefighters. Yawn. And in other news, the sun rose today.

Carter’s press secretary died. Just wondering how many people in the blogosphere are old enough to remember Jimmy Carter’s tenure as president (1977-1981) and his press secretary, Jody Powell.  Even the linked story got it wrong – the permalink says “at 66” while the copy says “at 65.”

Gotta get back to work.

    1. 1. Agree.

      2. Agree. But at least this time, he was telling the truth.

      3. Agreed. But Deeds’ response belies his delight over his 2005 NRA endorsement.

      4. I do! I do! Just goes to prove we’re older than dirt, Viv.

  1. Knew it was just a matter of time before Pres. O showed us black folk his true self. Had a White President said that about KW, he would have been labeled a racist.

President Obama used black folk, and their emotions, to get in office; and because we are so color struck, we did not see him for who he really is…just another pompous politican looking-out for himself, i.e. I (Pres. O) am the smartest black person in the world.

Like Willie Lynch said, I know how to keep blacks enslaved and Pres. O continues to prove that theory in that he carries himself as though he’s above all blacks particularly those who not afforded an education like his. Keep checking him out; with his nose high in the sky.

  2. Must be good drugs, Brenda.

And to hear that “f**king” word disparangly flow out of his mouth like that doesn’t sould like he got tongue-tied as his guys claimed… Sounds to me like someone is “f**king” irritated. Bob – curb your tongue! Children may be listening… Save it for your party meetings with your other family-value republikans.
