I started cooking Wednesday and finished up this afternoon. The menu was pretty much unchanged from last year, except this year I cooked a whole turkey (my cats are going to love that!) instead of just a breast.
A couple of my sisters stopped by just after dinner and we got a chance to chitchat and drink some eggnog, while getting the kitchen cleaned up and the leftovers put away.
I try to give thanks every day – not just one day a year – for so many things in my life, not the least of which are family and friends. The list is long. And as another Thanksgiving Day winds down, take a look at the list The Virginian-Pilot put together this year. You might find some new things to be thankful for 🙂
Hope you all had a wonderful holiday!

Vivian, Everything looks yummy, Next year I want to come to your house for Thanksgiving Dinner.
Well, there’s always room for one more 😉
He Vivian: Not only did the table look great, but the view from
your home looked wonderful. I hope you and your loved ones and
friends enjoyed the day. It is nice to throw things in to low gear
and enjoy the day!
I definitely bought the house for the view 😉
Even though it’s a lot of work to prepare, I do enjoy it. And I especially enjoy the weekend after, since I don’t do anything strenuous.
