Video: Ward 1 candidates

On Thursday, April 8, the Norfolk Federation of Civic Leagues hosted a candidates’ forum for the candidates running for City Council.  I previously reported on that forum here.

Ward 1 is the only contest in the city in which there is no incumbent. The current representative, Don Williams, has decided to retire.

Vying for the seat (click on the name to be taken to the candidate’s website):

• Chuck Brewer. A first time candidate for office, Brewer is a retired police officer and a small business owner.
• Andy Protogyrou. Protogyrou is an attorney. He ran for state senate in 2003.
• Barbara Saunders. A small business owner, this is Saunders’ third try for this seat.
