Video: Ward 3 challengers

On Thursday, April 8, the Norfolk Federation of Civic Leagues hosted a  forum for the candidates running for City Council.  I previously reported on that forum here.

Ward 3 is currently represented by Vice Mayor Anthony Burfoot, who did not participate in the candidates’ forum. The three challengers are (click on the name to be taken to the candidate’s website):

• Mamie Johnson. President of the Broad Creek Civic League, Johnson is a former Norfolk teacher and instructional specialist.
• Billy Mann. Formerly employed by Norfolk in economic development, Mann now owns a contracting firm.
• Donna Smith. Smith is Executive Director of Southeastern Virginia Arts Association, whose largest project is Afr’Am Fest.
