Local elections are being held across Hampton Roads tomorrow. The polls are open from 6am to 7pm. The Virginian-Pilot has put together a voter guide for Southside while The Daily Press has done the same for the Peninsula.
I wish we could have high turnout for these local elections the way we do for national ones but it just doesn’t seem to happen. The people elected tomorrow will have more of an effect on your daily life than the legislators in Richmond or those in Washington. All politics really is local, and with the low turnout, your vote counts even more. So go out and vote for the candidate of your choice.
