Gaylene continues to build support in her quest to become the 1st vice president of the Democratic Party of Virginia.
Dear Virginia Democrats,
I am Hampton Mayor Molly Joseph Ward and I’m writing to tell you why I’m supporting Gaylene Kanoyton for 1st Vice Chair of the Democratic Party of Virginia.
Gaylene has been a dedicated member and leader of the Hampton Democratic Committee for five years now. In 2005, she agreed to serve as Vice Chair and then became acting Chair. Members voted her in officially during the next elections and, in that time, she’s brought a wealth of innovative ideas that moved our committee forward. She’s recruited new members and energized the entire committee, especially during the Obama campaign.
What she’s done in Hampton has been nothing short of amazing, and she can help do the same at the state level. That’s why I’m asking you to join me in supporting Gaylene and vote for her as 1st Vice Chair at the State Central meeting in Charlottesville on June 12.

I’d like to head up for the meeting on Saturday but no where can I find the time, place, secret password/handshake, etc. Do you know Vivian? It seems like all Democrats in VA should be welcome….
The meeting on Saturday will be held at University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business’ Sponsors Hospitality Center in Charlottesville. The Central Committee meets at 10am in the Auditorium. That’s all I know.
