Regent University is hosting a “Clash of the Titans” debate later this month.
Just four days prior to this pivotal election, Laura Ingraham and Charles Krauthammer will battle James Carville and Harold Ford, Jr. over the topic: “America at the Crossroads: Turning Right or Left?” David Gergen, senior political analyst for CNN and advisor to four U.S. presidents, will moderate this dynamic event.
I can tell how this one turns out: a whole lot of agreement. Seriously – Carville and Ford Jr. are the best they could do to represent the left?

Seems like they should have gotten someone who’s actually ON the left for the debate. Ford’s a Blue Dog and Carville, like all campaign hacks, is an opportunist.
I was trying to find a word that was the opposite of “titan” but couldn’t come up with one. In this case, opportunist applies to both, as Ford has been all over the place promoting his book.
Clash of the Tinies?
I agree with your sentiment. Although I think Carville is a bit more of a progressive Democrat than Ford. The latter is still running for something in Tennessee and will say anything to endear himself to white voters too scared to vote for a Black candidate.
I don’t know about TN – last time Ford thought about running for something it was from NY.
Well, look at it this way, it is not exactly being presented on neutral turf.
I was once scheduled to debate a union boss at a college-student conference in New Hampshire. Got there, and found out we were to follow a debate between Carville and “B-1 Bob” Dornan.
No one was interested in a thing we said.
Say what you will about Carville, but the guy is entertaining.
JY- for that matter, Bob Dornan had great entertainment value as well.
