The Virginian-Pilot endorsed in the Suffolk races today. In my predictions, I admitted I hadn’t been following Suffolk very closely. Even so, I managed to get three of the four races called correctly.Ā The one I missed – J.B. Varney instead of incumbent Jeff Gardy – has an interesting twist: the Holy Neck Borough never re-elects anybody. Had I paid enough attention to the races there, I would have known that.
Nevertheless, 78.6% accuracy on the predictions ain’t bad š (Somebody emailed me and said I should take half-credit for saying it was possible for the paper to endorse Rigell over Nye.Ā Naw – I’ll stick to what I called. That was a swing and a miss.)
