“Imagine Hampton Roads!”, a project to identify and implement 10 great and cheap ideas that will put Hampton Roads on the map, is generating a lot of excitement and attention. Our first session at WHRO was a great success.
The gatherings will run from 5:30-7:30pm and include complimentary hors d’oeuvres (cash bar). Space is very limited. For more information and to RSVP, contact Sara Wilson at 664-2516 or swilson@hrccva.com
So, please bring your ideas and creativity and join us in this lively brainstorming effort to create a public relations campaign that can boost our prosperity and quality of life!
IMAGINE Hampton Roads is a project of the LEAD Hampton Roads Class of 2011. Selected ideas will be implemented by class participants with assistance from the community.
LEAD Hampton Roads is a program of the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce.
Great to see LHR involved in this. I try to, gently, correct people who still see this as “Tidewater”. Tidewater is discriptive of the geographic region that extends west a couple of hundred miles, but not of the economic region that surrounds Hampton Roads.
I hope to attend one of these sessions, just to meet this years class.

They had one of these a week ago or so that my dad went to. Someone suggested that we do like Kenny Golden did and make the campaign, “Where is Hampton Roads?”
Score one for beer, Atlas Shrugged, and old Ken Stolle for Senate signs!
I’m sorry I missed the WHRO one, but I’m going to try to get to one of the others.

I still prefer Tidewater. 😛
