The Virginian-Pilot editorial board wrote a couple of editorials Sunday and Monday on the problem of General Assembly members policing themselves on ethical issues. Good stuff.

I’d agree with the suggestion to simply ban legislators from representing clients before state boards and agencies. That’s simple, solves the problem, and doesn’t allow for any grey areas of interpretation.
