The performances Wednesday night were nothing to write home about. The theme was songs from the year of each contestant’s birth. No one hit it out of the park nor did anyone completely bomb. Heading into tonight’s results show, any one of them could be voted off.
The first to be added to the bottom three was Haley, who should have stayed away from trying to sing Whitney Houston.
Next in was Naima. This young lady needs to stand still and sing. The dancing may be fun, but standing still will allow her to work on her pitch problems.
Rounding out the bottom three was Karen. I don’t think she did any worse than anyone else; she was just odd-man (woman) out. And, as it turns out, she garnered the lowest vote total.
Singing for a possible judge’s save, I was reminded of what could have been Karen’s problem: she switches from English to Spanish. Personally, I think this hurt her, as people like to sing along – and the songs she sang don’t have known Spanish lyrics.
And, as expected, the judges did not save her. Way too early in the season.
I hope we get better songs next week.
might not be any of the women left in a couple weeks -no offense viv but this years crop definitely seems to have way better men singers- I really dont know of the girls which ones could really win it and i could pick two or three of the guys depending on what the audience is looking for.
Actually, I agree. The females simply aren’t as impressive as the males.
