American Idol results 03/24/11

Wednesday night, the remaining 11 contestants took on the songs of Motown. Some of them did better than others but that doesn’t seem to matter to the voting public. In the bottom three were Thia, Stefano and Casey.

Casey and not Paul? C’mon. Paul is a bad Rod Stewart imitator.

And while I like Scotty, he was not good last night. He’s a country singer – and unless I’m mistaken, Motown has never had a country and western singer in its stable.

Those two, plus Stefano would have been my choices. Thia is much too talented to have been in the bottom three, although I must say she was far from perfect last night. Fortunately, she was safe.

Unfortunately, it was Casey who was the lowest vote getter. But the judges used their once-a-season save to keep him on the show. Personally, I think that’s awesome, even though I don’t expect him to win. The judges see the tremendous musical talent that he is.

The show had three different performers on: Stevie Wonder, who was wonderful, Sugarland (who?), and Jennifer Hudson. Oh yeah, and Hulk Hogan showed up. (For a singing competition? Really?)

Next week, two people will go home. But Casey will be on tour.

  1. Sugarland? Seriously? Do you live under a rock? They are an awesome duo, that are very talented. Maybe you should do your homework before trying to sound so cool. Also, AI is Not a MoTown competition , it is a singing competition , so even tho Scotty is not MoTown, he is a very good entertainer, he knows how to connect with his audience. Yes, am so happy they kept Casey, he has passion.

    1. Gotta love folks who are first-time visitors, don’t read the comment policy, have no clue about who I am, and take shots, without any regard for anything. I’m guessing they are the same kind of folks who show up at someone’s house and complain that the grass isn’t cut.

Get a frikkin’ life. It’s an entertainment TV show, for goodness sake.

  2. lol don’t worry Vivian i know exactly who you are. i enjoy watching you on “What Matters”.

now a show i don’t watch, mostly not at all is AI. but i did this time cuz of the talent this season. i’m a week late but i’m upset that they didn’t use that save for Karen Rodriguez. i feel they really did her wrong. mainly cuz the 2 girls that were safe couldn’t hold a candle to her talent. but i know the truth of it all is that they don’t want too many people that can sing on there, cuz i guess they feel that can’t attract enough viewers. i dunno don’t get me started ranting.

      1. yeah to be truthful i just stopped watching after that. but i did listen to the other talent before i did stop and i think we might have somebody that will win this year that unlike the ones for the past couple of years like Simon would say “were boring”.

  3. vivian i was surprised they would use the save this early however using it for casey was really a no brainer – he is extremely talented and no way he should have been in that position this early- that being said casey needs to just sing from now on and show his talents instead of sometimes trying to showboat. Wow two will leave now that will be interesting
