I don’t know if it had anything to do with it, but the new district lines greatly change the old 59th. I actually will be in the 61st, I think.
I am not aware of any candidates for the 59th. Maybe this was a surprise, and caught everyone unaware.
I don’t think I even have a copy or a link to the proposed changes. It was all very confusing.
Cumberland would be under one Senator instead of two, if I remember correctly. Which I like. (Ruff – southern portion, Watkins – northern portion)I believe we would have John Watkins as it was proposed.
I do know Connie Brennan belongs in the legislature, she is sharp and smart.
