A couple of quick notes on some Hampton Roads races, courtesy of PilotOnline tweets. First up, the 6th Senate District:

This confirms what I’ve been hearing. Former Congressional candidate Ben Loyola, who lost to Scott Rigell for the Republican nomination last year, is poised to obtain the nod. Word is that he has to move into the 6th first.

I just received an invite via Facebook to the event on June 7. Rumor had it that Sen. Blevins was not going to run for re-election and that Del. Cosgrove was thinking of running to replace him. The invitation says, “Join us for our re-election announcement.”
