Virginia Beach businessman Paul Hirschbiel made it official Monday that he is running for the 2nd Congressional District seat, currently held by Scott Rigell.
Although the Congressional redistricting plan is not yet final, I expect the 2nd CD to be more Republican-leaning than it is now. That would make it more difficult for a liberal Democrat to win the seat. One thing Hirschbiel isn’t is a liberal Democrat.
