The Tide is free to ride all weekend. Looks like fun!
UPDATE: Due to the overwhelming response, the Tide will be free to ride through August 28. The regular $1.50 fare will start Monday, August 29.
I love this thing! I wish it went to more places like Naval Base or Wards Corner. I hope that it will some day soon!
While riding this evening, an HRT employee told us that the Tide will be free until the 28th.

The first and only Light Rail in the Commonwealth with 27.000 folks riding it on the first day and Governor Bob is no where to be seen. I guess supporting light rail/public transportation is a no no if one is to be considered as a Vice Presidential candidate for the Republican/Tea bagger party.
The ridership exceeded all expectations. Nearly 60,000 in the first two days (Friday & Saturday), according to CEO Philip Shucet.
