Virginia Senator John Miller has announced Pre-General Assembly town hall meetings. As far as I can remember since I have lived on the Peninsula I usually hear of only post General Assembly town halls. I hope this is a trend that other state Senator and Delegates are considering. It is nice to voice your concerns in person without having to drive to Richmond.
Miller’s announcement read:
The upcoming session of the General Assembly will deal with a variety of issues that will affect you. From budget cuts to gun laws, from lifting the ban on uranium mining to deciding how to improve our transportation infrastructure. Senator Miller wants to hear your views. Join him for his Town Hall meeting.
Williamsburg Jan 3rd at 7 pm at the library
Hampton Jan 4th at 7 pm at the Northampton Community Center
Newport News Jan 5th at 7 pm at the Ferguson Center
Suffolk Jan 7th at 2 pm at the fire station #5
