On the pages sent the Post’s way, Cuccinelli uses language akin to Mitt Romney’s famous “47 percent” comment. The Republican presidential candidate had suggested that a share of the electorate was so dependent on government hand-outs that it would never vote for him.
No doubt Cuccinelli had time to re-write the sections cited in the Post article prior to the book’s publication. He appears to have chosen not to. Not only do such comments turn off independent voters, but if this article is any indication, moderate Republicans, too.

This guy is an arrogant self-promoter, and the GOP can’t afford another nail in its coffin. Show some life, Va, GOP and deny him the nomination. Otherwise our two-party system is finished.
Too late for that. The deadline for filing for the Republican nominating convention has already passed.
