Financial reports for the candidates in next week’s special election in the 6th Senate are now available. These reports cover the period 7/1/13 to 12/27/13.
Democratic candidate Lynwood Lewis raised $415,171 and has $19,538 on hand as of last Friday.
Republican candidate Wayne Coleman raised $539,316, his company, CV International, loaned his campaign $150,000 , and he has $90,333 on hand.
Both camps are spending heavily on TV advertising. Unlike the nominating contests, neither is sending out much mail. I’ve gotten a few pieces from the DPVA and the RPV but none from the candidates themselves.
The election is January 7.
