Four candidates have filed paperwork to be on the ballot for Saturday’s firehouse primary, according to VPAP. They are:
- Alex Askew
- Rick James
Terrell Kingwood- Joe Lindsey
Candidates have until noon today to file their declaration of candidacy and pay a $2,500 nonrefundable filing fee. Saturday’s caucus is open to Democrats who are registered voters in the 90th. Each voter will be required to sign a written declaration that s/he:
Is a Democrat and not a member of any other political party; and
Does not intend to support any candidate who is opposed to a Democratic nominee in the 90th House of Delegates District Special Election; and
Has not participated in and will not participate in the nominating process of any other party for the 90th House of Delegates District Special Election; and
Is registered to vote in the 90th House of Delegates District.
