Newport News sheriff to run as a Democrat
Word has come that Newport News Sheriff Gabriel Morgan has joined the Newport News City Democratic Committee and will run as a Democrat. Morgan was first elected in 2005 as a Republican but resigned from the party last year. No word yet on whether there will be any other candidates for this position.
