This Sunday's On the Record will feature the latest hot topic across the region: transportation. On the table is the expansion of the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel, which Norfolk Mayor and Hampton Roads MPO chair Paul Fraim now supports and which was the topic of this article in Friday's Virginian Pilot. Doo Dah Parade
I missed today's Doo Dah parade in downtown Norfolk. They used to hold this parade on April 1 but moved it to Friday the last couple of times. Here's a bit of video, courtesy of PilotOnline, of the parade. Looks like it was a lot of fun 😦
Three guys at the beach
Bet you never expected to see these three guys together 😉 The Rev. Al Sharpton and Pat Robertson are sitting on a couch and in walks Al Gore. This isn't a joke. The story is here.
Just some stuff I ran across
Catching up a little on my reading, I ran across a few interesting articles. First, there is this piece from TNR (emphasis mine). The issue of negative campaigning and its proper bounds is now dominating the Democratic campaign. In recent weeks, the neck-and-neck race has degenerated into a miasma of trivial flaps--the source of that … Continue reading Just some stuff I ran across
American Idol Results 03/26/08: And then there were 9

Moran’s humble roots
House Democratic Caucus Chairman Brian Moran was the topic of an article in Monday's News Virginian. In it, the as-yet-undeclared gubernatorial candidate discussed his humble roots. “My parents were of very modest means,” said Moran, 48, who represents the city of Alexandria and part of Fairfax County. “My dad had any number of jobs and … Continue reading Moran’s humble roots
Norfolk has a YouTube channel
Yep. Right here. So far, they have uploaded 28 videos, which happens to be two more than what I have in my channel. Guess I need to get busy 😉 Now if Norfolk started putting council meetings up there, I'd bet they would have a lot more views 😉
Bolling running in place
Bill Bolling announced today that he will be seeking a second term as Lieutenant Governor rather than pursuing the governor's mansion in 2009. In a conference call this afternoon with bloggers from throughout the Commonwealth, Bolling emphasized that he came to this decision due to his commitments to his family and his colleagues. He said … Continue reading Bolling running in place
