The primary turnout is much higher than I expected. Right now, with 2,202 out of 2,403 precincts reporting statewide, the turnout is almost 135,000. And, as I suspected, a high turnout has helped Webb. If you haven't seen the numbers, take a look here.

Where to watch the results
With the polls now closed, it's time to watch the results. I'm keeping tabs in Norfolk by using the link here. Of course, there's nothing there right now 😦 Nothing on the Virginia Beach results, either. You can follow statewide results on the State Board of Elections website. That link is here. In the past, … Continue reading Where to watch the results
Anecdotal evidence of a Miller win

The operator of the homes is pursuing state licensing, which will allow her to run the facilities as assisted living facilities. There will be additional costs, however, because there … Continue reading Update on Norfolk boarding houses

Pilot articles on the Senate primary
Below the fold on the front page of the Virginian-Pilot today is an article regarding the primary. Unfortunately, there is nothing new in this article, just a rehash of all the old stuff we've been seeing around the 'net for a while now. The front page of the Commentary section has huge pictures of both … Continue reading Pilot articles on the Senate primary
Saturday evening musings
I attended Delegate Lionel Spruill's Pancake Breakfast this morning. Lots of people turned out for this 8am event. Helping to serve breakfast was Democratic Caucus Chairman Brian Moran. Senate candidate Harris Miller was also in attendance. I got a chance to talk to Miss Virginia aspirant Erin Hildreth, who holds the title of Miss Portsmouth … Continue reading Saturday evening musings
My choice on June 13
On June 13, Democrats in Virginia will be making the important decision on who will represent us in the effort to defeat George Allen in November. Like many others, I have spent a lot of time learning about the two candidates. It has been a difficult decision for me as neither is the perfect candidate. … Continue reading My choice on June 13
