Mugler withdraws from 1st Senate race

The Daily Press is reporting that Hampton Commissioner of the Revenue Ross Mugler will not seek the Democratic nomination for state senate in the 1st district. Mugler said in a release that he wanted to unite Democrats rather the subject them to a "quickly constructed firehouse primary" which could prove financially and politically expensive.
