  1. I didn’t get any information specifically related to Troy. Like I said, this is what I know of. There certainly are other events going on that I don’t know anything about.

  2. Vivian — Why don’t you try to organize a Democrats vs. Republicans basketball game — with candidates playing? (Proceeeds going to charity, of course.) We could see the candidates’ teamwork, how they handle stress, and whether they play nicely with others!

  3. The Central Business District Association of Virginia Beach is hosting a luncheon featuring House candidates running in VB. Come see Bobby Mathieson, Joe Bouchard, and Bob McIver give the ol’ one-two to their Repulsican opponents as per usual. It’s Wednesday, October 17, 2007, Holiday Inn Executive Center, 5655 Greenwich Road , Virginia Beach.
    11:30 a.m. – 12:00 noon – Registration & Networking
    12:00 noon – 1:15 p.m. – Luncheon & Program
    Cost of Luncheon: $25.00

  4. Not as bad as using the local sheriff for your campaign lit without his permission. Slick move on “Doctor” Welch’s part.

You’re not going to get 5 Republicans. They might have to socialize with African Americans.

  5. Brian,
Schools have always been used for such events. when I went to school we had all kinds of political events including contests and debates among the students on who was the best candidate. Didn’t you ever have hte opportunity to indulge in such learning experiences at your school? We in fact need to bring more of this back so the younger generations know all about our political systems and branches of government through hands on experience not just memorizing from a book.

  6. The Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce hosts candidate forums with our Dr. Ralph Northam vs. Nick “FemiNazi” Rerras on Tues, Oct. 9 and the 83rd’s next Delegate Joe Bouchard vs. Ken’s little brother on Tues., Oct. 23. Call 757-622-2312 for more information.
