Last Sunday, Alice Marshall, the proprietor of GOTV, announced that she is closing up shop. If you take a look back thru her archives, you will find a wealth of information on grassroots organizing as conducted by the Fairfax County Democratic Committee. I’m pretty sure (although I can’t locate the link over there right now) that she posted copies of the FCDC Precinct Operations manual, something that all of the committees should have on hand and implement.
I appreciate all that Alice has done to elect Democrats. And I wish her well in her new location. Further, I hope she will not disappear from the blogosphere and that she will continue to participate and share her wisdom.

I want to add my voice to this. I never got to meet Alice, but I was always aware of the great passion with which GOTV tackled issues and problems. It’s sad to see you go, but sometimes we have to move on to more important stuff.
I wish you well, and much success in any endeavor you choose.
