Blogoversary: Five years old

Have to admit I almost missed this today. It’s been five years since I made the first post on this blog.  I guess time flies when you’re having fun – or something.

If someone hadn’t reminded me, I wouldn’t have remembered. (I forgot last year but remembered two years ago.)  What was I thinking – starting a blog during tax season?

I do know what I was thinking and why I did it. And, despite everything, I’m glad I did. I’ve met some wonderful people over the past five years, people I doubt I would have met otherwise. And I’ve learned a lot in the process.

Thanks to all who participate, particularly the new contributors, but especially the readers and those who take the time to comment.

  1. Congratulations!

During this five-year effort, your tenacity and talent have made life in Virginia better than it would have been, otherwise. More political bloggers should learn from your example.

  2. Congrats Vivian!!
And thanks for all you do. The community is a better place as a result and that is the highest praise any of us could ask.
    Keep it up!

  3. Vivian-glad you are still blogging. While we dont always agree your blog has been a center of intellectual honesty and a great read.
