I can’t imagine Wittman giving up a safe House seat for a longshot at the Senate.

Interesting. Allen supporters could see reason to dump him for Wittman. Allen being damaged goods, Wittman could become the new establishment favorite. Webb dropping out could make it more realistic for Wittman’s chances to secure his party’s nomination. It could also split anti-Radtke votes.
Britt: I’d agree with you that, unlike most of the other candidates, who’ve been discussed as possibles in the GOP race, Wittman would take votes from both Allen AND Radtke.
