Mark Warner at the Norfolk Forum
Former Governor Mark Warner was the final speaker of the season for the Norfolk Forum this past Tuesday night. The Virginian-Pilot covered his speech in this article. On display was Warner's sense of humor: besides the "cha-ching" mentioned in the Pilot article, he spoke about missing being called "His Excellency" and the fact that as … Continue reading Mark Warner at the Norfolk Forum

American Idol Results 04/18/07: FINALLY!!!!!
Thank goodness for TiVo 😉 I watched last night's show this morning. With its country theme, there were some pretty good performances. I’m expecting that the city manager’s budget will come in with … Continue reading Ten cents

It was the first time that I have attended, since this event falls so close to the end of tax season every year. I'm told that the crowd was smaller than normal, on this chilly, dreary afternoon. The colors of … Continue reading Shad Planking

Out from under
I made it through the filing deadline, head down most of the time, so I've got a lot of catching up to do. I took a break from filing extensions last night to catch Mark Warner's speech at the Norfolk Forum. More on that later. I'm heading to the Shad Planking later today. Quickly browsing … Continue reading Out from under
