Update: Beach email was a “joke”

Seems the email circulating yesterday around Virginia Beach was a joke sent out by political consultant Brian Kirwin. Tuesday's election … Continue reading Update: Beach email was a “joke”

Pat Edmonson has defeated incumbent Jane … Continue reading Updates from Va Beach

Election story of the day#2: False email VB elections

Apparently, there was a false email circulating around today that the council and school board elections in Virginia Beach had been postponed. This prompted the registrar to issue a statement this afternoon to the local media to deny the email. Having been the victim of something similar (there was a phone call the morning of … Continue reading Election story of the day#2: False email VB elections

Election story of the day: Ward 5

When I profiled the candidates in Ward 5, I mentioned that it was difficult to find out anything about the challenger, Michael Osburn. Anecdotally, I heard a couple of stories about him. One was from a candidates' forum. The moderator said that Osburn had not responded to their invitation and wasn't there that evening. A … Continue reading Election story of the day: Ward 5
